Ministry for Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, Government of Kerala and Kerala Agricultural University organizing committee invite to the 'International Workshop on Production, Value Addition and Marketing of Jackfruit' scheduled from 9th— 14" August 2017 at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Ambalavayal, Wayanad, Kerala, India.
It is proposed as a joint venture of the Kerala Agricultural University, Ministry for Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare, Government of Kerala, TFNet (International Fruit Network), ICAR, National Horticulture Board, State Horticulture Mission, Vegetable and Fruit Promotion Council of Keralam, District Legal Services Authority and the ISSAAS (International Society for South East Asian Agricultural Sciences) along with all National and International organizations working for the promotion of jackfruit as partners.
The symposium will take you to the 'Green Paradise' of the 'God's Own Country'. Kerala, with its rich collection of jackfruit varieties and diverse tree forms - an ideal backdrop for the conduct of such a workshop. The enormous potential offered by jackfruit and its products are stuck in bottlenecks due to lack of network and marketing opportunities. World renowned dignitaries will be delivering talks on selected topics in the workshop.
The platform will surely benefit every scientist/student/stakeholder associated with this industry by facilitating knowledge and experience sharing. The symposium is a six-day event covering all relevant topics in the field of jackfruit production, value addition and marketing, and on the final day, it will be our pleasure to take you out to witness the rich natural heritage this place is bestowed with.
